WELCOME TO FAIRWAY!
This morning Pastor Dave begins a short series on marriage (2 parts). We will start where God starts: In Genesis 2. In a couple of weeks we will also think about the calling of those who are single. It turns out that churches can sometimes be hard places for people who aren’t married.
This evening Dr. Jeff Weima will lead us in worship. Dr. Weima is a professor of New Testament studies at Calvin Theological Seminary, and serves as an academic advisor to Pastor Dave. He will help us to see the spiritual dangers facing believers and the need to entrust ourselves to the care of God and his son, Jesus Christ. While living in grace we are still called to vigilance, but sometimes it is hard to know what that looks like. We’ll learn more about that this evening.
ARE YOU VISITING?
We apologize for our mess (due to our construction project our bathrooms and nurseries are hard to get to), but we are glad that you are here! If you did not bring a Bible with you then you may ask one of the ushers to bring you one for use during the worship service (or to take home with you if you need). Please also enjoy some refreshments with us after the worship service, and allow us to greet you personally. And as our members place their financial gifts into the offering plate during the worship service you are certainly welcome to participate in the offering with us but, then again, you may have other causes that you would like to give to. That is very fine too! If you would like to speak with Pastor Dave after today’s worship services please feel free to do so in person or connect with him via phone or email:

ARE YOU VISITING WITH CHILDREN?
If you come with babies and/or toddlers you are welcome to bring them to the nursery, temporarily located down the hall in the education wing (follow the signs).
If you have children who are 3 years old (as of March 1, 2012) through kindergarten age then please know that you are welcome to send them to our Children’s Worship program. An announcement will be made during the worship service at the time for releasing them (that time is also identified in the worship bulletin). Feel free to accompany your child as he/she is gathered with other children in the lobby and taken to his/her classroom. This will help you to know where to pick him/her up after the worship service is concluded.
